Christmas in The Glen Again

Christmas in The Glen Again

It’s no surprise that the peacocks who live in Pittencrieff Park love a piece of fruit cake as much as they love strutting around town saying hello to people.

Christmas in Dunfermline is always a busy time – as much for the humans who live there as it is for the peacocks. The peacocks are always fascinated by all the activity: the lights going up on the High Street, and in the shop windows; the Christmas tree outside Louise Carnegie Gates; and then there’s the Christmas Tree Lighting Ceremony and Parade; not to mention the annual debate about who should switch the Christmas tree lights on!

None of the peacocks however, were prepared for the special visitor who dropped in on them on Christmas Eve, and the part they played in getting him airborne again.
