Dunfermline’s Branch of The Young Archaeologists’ Club

Dunfermline’s Branch of The Young Archaeologists’ Club

YAC is part of the Council for British Archaeology, an educational charity working throughout the UK to involve people in archaeology and to promote the appreciation and care of the historic environment for the benefit of present and future generations.

The Young Archaeologists’ Club (YAC) is the only club for young people interested in archaeology. There is a network of local clubs across the UK where 8–16 year olds can get their hands mucky doing real archaeology. Each club is run by a team of adult volunteers. You can find out more about YAC here.

The Dunfermline branch, setup in the summer of 2015 is part of the national YAC network. Our leaders have experience in historical research, archaeology and historical heritage and a desire to share their love of the past with the young people of Dunfermline.
