November at Fire Station Creative

THE UNCOMMON BLOCKHEAD: ALASTAIR DICKSON

3rd November – 3rd December

This latest body of work by Scottish-Canadian sculptor, Alastair Dickson,  reflects his ongoing interest in the art of creative recycling. Specific found objects undergo a process of visual transformation.

“This new work was made during a three-month residency at the Edinburgh Palette Arts Centre, using hand-selected Scottish junk” , says the artist.

OPEN STUDIOS CHRISTMAS 2017

SAVE THE DAY

Saturday 25th November 11am – 5pm
Sunday 26th November 11am – 4pm

Here at the Fire Station Creative we open our studio’s twice a year to the public (the rest of the year they open by appointment with the artist).

If you have not yet visited us, then you must. It’s a unique opportunity to see inside an artist’s studio and buy work directly from the them.  Every event offers new work from our residents, so if you think you have seen it all, think again!

This year we will be asking some local guest makers and artists to take part in our event in the form of an artisan market.  We very much look forward to welcoming you and hopefully offering you some Christmas gift ideas.

Entry to the event is free, all welcome.
