A Tale of Three Bridges in Dunfermline

IT’S set to be a tale of three bridges at Dunfermline Carnegie Library & Galleries as a new exhibition is launched.

SPAN – A Tale of Three Bridges celebrates the pioneering bridges over the Forth estuary and arrives in the town this Saturday.

The Forth Bridge and Forth Road Bridge were engineering marvels of their time, with the £1.35 billion Queensferry Crossing completing the trio of landmarks with its official opening in September last year.

The exhibition offers a chance to learn about the brave and ingenious Victorian ‘briggers’, who built the Forth Bridge, and the ‘spider-men’ who scaled the heights of the Road Bridge.
